A stunning piece of highly sought after Fordite, which has been individually hand cut and shaped by ourselves and set in a handmade sterling silver backed pendant. 

Hung on a 20” sterling silver chain. 
The pendant measures approximately 2.8 x 1.5 cms and is oval in shape. 

Fordite, also known as Detroit agate or Motor City agate, is old vehicle paint which has hardened sufficiently to be cut and polished. It was formed from the buildup of layers of paint slag on tracks and skids on which cars were hand spray-painted, which have been baked numerous times sometimes up to 100 times. It has become highly desirable in jewellery making and is rarer than most gemstones. This particular piece has metallic tones within. This particular piece is from the Jeep Factory 2021.
