Fordite Silver Pendant Necklace

A highly unusual pendant - Fordite which has been hand cut and polished by ourselves and made into a copper & silver formed textured pendant. 

The pendant is free form in shape & measures approximately 3.5 x 2.5 cms at its widest points. 

Hung on an 22” sterling silver snake chain, a unisex piece of jewellery. 

Fordite, or "Detroit agate," is hardened, multicolored layers of automotive enamel paint byproduct from old car factories. Often used in jewellery, this rare, vintage material was formed when overspray accumulated on paint tracks and was baked repeatedly, creating vibrant, layered patterns similar to gemstones. It is now highly collectible as modern painting methods no longer produce it.
