14 carat Gold filled is a far more premium product to gold plate with 100 times more gold that is mechanically bonded to brass & is extremely resistant to rubbing off, tarnish or turning your finger green, lasting far longer than gold plate. No need to avoid contact with water, but advised to remove when swimming/avoid cleaning/chemical contact.
