Fordite Unisex Sterling Silver Signet Ring

A highly original and unique statement handmade Sterling Silver polished signet ring. The signet ring has an individually hand carved and hand finished piece of American Fordite from the Jeep Factory in October 2021. 

Fordite is also known as Detroit Agate or Motor Agate. This beautiful "stone" is actually the remains of old car paint from the Ford factory’s. It is a build up of layers and layers of paint sprays that would build up in the factory’s. The paint then goes through ovens to be cured and hardened, then has become increasingly used by jewellers to create amazing and highly sought after, rare pieces of jewellery! 
Every piece has a history connected to the factory and model colours, perfect for a car enthusiast too! 

Each stone is unique and you’ll never find two the same! And Fordite is believed to be rarer than diamonds!
