14 carat Gold filled is a far more premium product to gold plate with 100 times more gold that is mechanically bonded to brass & is extremely resistant to rubbing off, tarnish or turning your finger green, lasting far longer than gold plate. No need to avoid daily contact with water, but advised to remove when swimming/avoid cleaning/chemical contact.
